Ex-All Black Fitzpatrick needs ‘club window’ to broaden rugby’s allure

Previous New Zealand skipper and board individual from Welsh locale the Scarlets Sean Fitzpatrick said on Saturday a club window is expected to make rugby an “appealing item”.

Fitzpatrick won the debut Rugby World Cup in 1987 and upholds the possibility of a homegrown same.

“There will be a world club rivalry. We don’t really have to have a world club title each year, yet we need to set up a 20-year design and ask ‘What is on the schedule for the following 20 years?’,” he added.
