Biden says US ‘to double’ contribution to climate finance

US President Joe Biden told the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday that his nation would “twofold” its commitment to worldwide environment financing towards the objective of preparing $100 billion for weak countries.

Specialists said the declaration would take the US commitment to the responsibility, made by created nations in front of the 2015 Paris arrangement, to roughly $11.4 billion every year.

“This will make the United States a forerunner in open environment finance,” Biden told world innovators in New York, saying he would work with Congress to accomplish the objective.
